The National Disability Data Asset (NDDA) will bring together de-identified data from Australian, state and territory government agencies for research and analysis. The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) are partnering to design, develop, and deliver the technical aspects of the NDDA. The NDDA project is being led by the Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS) and is overseen by the Disability Reform Ministerial Council (DRMC). Description of shared data |
Specified data: Data Over Multiple Individual Occurrences (DOMINO) Centrelink Administrative Data The Data Over Multiple Individual Occurrences (DOMINO) data contains de-identified information about persons accessing a Centrelink administrated payment or service. Data provider: Department of Social Services |
Output |
There are four outputs that will be produced by this data sharing agreement. These outputs will be used by DATA Scheme research projects as part of the NDDA.
Output 1: Core NDDA content data (DOMINO) Core NDDA content data means the de-identified NDDA content unit record analysis files (without personal IDs), with person-level merging keys, that are created and maintained by the NDDA Operations Team, in the ANDII ICT Solution. Core NDDA content data is created from the specified data in this data sharing agreement (but not limited to):
Core NDDA content data is organised into modules of data that can be combined as required for a research project.
Output 2: Core disability indicators Core Disability indicators are comprised of de-identified person-level flags that can assist in providing a consistent approach to identifying cohorts of people with disability in the NDDA and describe the characteristics and circumstances, including by disability type, of these cohorts for analysis.
Output 3: Update to ANDII Core Demographics The ANDII Core Demographics final output includes population demographics and residential locations derived from the National Linkage Spine and selected content datasets. Where demographic information has been reported differently across NDDA datasets, the core demographics provide the most likely value, supporting a more consistent approach to population analysis.
Output 4: DOMINO Scoping Flags The DOMINO scoping flags identify active records in the DOMINO files, so that records can be de-scoped if required. |
