Consultation on the Allowed Access to Project Output Guidance Note

As part of a DATA Scheme project, accredited users collect and use data to create project output in accordance with the project’s data sharing agreement. The project’s data sharing agreement may also allow the accredited user to provide other parties with access to the project output in the following circumstances:

  • providing access (including publicly releasing) a copy of output to entities that are not party to the data sharing agreement
  • providing output for validation or correction to:
    • the data custodian of source data, or
    • an individual or organisation the data is about.

A draft guidance note  ‘Allowed access to project output’ has been prepared and is now open for public consultation until 12pm Monday 16 December 2024.

We welcome your feedback, which can be submitted to information@datacommissioner.gov.au before the closing date.
